Vasavi College of Engineering Alumni Association [VCEAA] has been formed by the students of the college. Now, they can get in touch with the college whenever they want to, and from wherever they are. The main idea behind this is to update the students of the latest happenings in the college. All the out-going students are the members of the Association.Reflections, the annual alumni get-together, enable all of them to refresh the memories of their college days. Reminiscing has never been so easy 

For the Institute, the true worth of its activities, in the long run, is the success of its alumni. To assist in strengthening the link with alumni, the Institute has setup alumni office headed by Ms. T.Adilakshmi, Secretary Alumni Relations. It makes the Institute proud to know that its alumni have achieved success in their endeavours and reached the highest positions in all fields - whether it is research, academics, industry, entrepreneurship, or management. 


Sri Pendekanti Venkatasubbaiah, one of the veteran statesmen of Independent India, held many important positions in his lifetime. He served in the capacities of the Union Minister of State for Home & Parliamentary Affairs (1980-84), the Governor of Bihar, and later, of Karnataka.
Sri Pendekanti Venkatasubbaiah was born in an affluent family of agriculturists on 18th June, 1921 at Sanjamala, a village in the erstwhile Princely State of Banaganapalli in Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh. He took keen interest in the national movement while he was a student in Nandyal, the constituency he represented subsequently for 27 years in Lok Sabha. He dedicated himself to the national movement and fought against oppression, braving imprisonment.Sri Venkatasubbaiah was secular in his outlook throughout his life and fought firmly against all kinds of inequalities and oppression. His vision for an egalitarian and progressive future reflects in the institutions that he founded and inspired. A Gandhian to the core, he had passionate interest in Education, Khadi and Co-operation. He started several educational institutions, hostels for poor boys and Co-operative Societies. 

Vasavi College of Engineering has been conferred with Autonomous Status by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi and Osmania University, Hyderabad for a period of six years with effect from the Academic Year 2014-15, for all the UG and PG Programmes. The College will be implementing Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) with effect from the academic year 2016-17  

Vasavi College of Engineering, in its 35 years of existence, is a  reputed institution in the State of Telangana. The college in its pursuit for quality in technical education has earned 3rd ranking in the State and 32nd in the country (source: Hindustan Times on 24th June 2009). The college offers six UG (Civil, Mechanical, ECE, CSE, EEE and IT) with total sanctioned intake of 600 and 6 PG programmes [ME (ES & VLSI); ME (ADM); ME (CE & SP]; ME(PSPE); M.Tech (CSE)] and MCA with total sanctioned intake of 156]. The College is most preferred by the CET qualified high ranking students.

Situated over a sprawling 13.6 acre campus with lush lawns, a beautiful landscape, aesthetic architecture and avant-garde infrastructure, the College epitomizes an exemplary setting for higher learning. Vasavi College of Engineering places special emphasis on experiential learning in its training process. In this regard, the College has adopted pedagogical practices in collaboration with industry, businesses, counterpart institutions and international experience to provide enhanced learning opportunities to the students.Practical skills in the chosen discipline apart, overall personality development assumes an essential aspect of every course of study. This is precisely the reason why the College has chosen to invest significant resources in setting up such auxiliary facilities as Phonetics & Interactive Communication Skills Labs. 

The Training & Placement Cell at Vasavi College of Engineering provides personal and career-oriented support to its students. The main motive is to enable the students to effectively cope-up with academics at college and also for successful careers after graduating. Apart from the training provided during the regular course curriculum, the college also provides an extensive training program of about 100 hours during the vacation period after the pre-final year exams to prepare the students for the recruitment process in their final year. The college engages specialized trainers for conducting this training. The effectiveness of the training is evident from the consistent and remarkable placement record. 

A large number of students have been getting admission into prestigious institutions in India and overseas, for higher studies. The college has been a frontrunner in campus recruitments in the state with many major companies, both from the IT and Core sector, visiting the college year-on-year for recruiting the young talent from the college. The companies that visit the campus include Microsoft, Oracle, Pega Systems, S&P Capital IQ, Deloitte, Factset, NetCracker, ADP, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, Mahindra Rise, Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL), L&T Constructions, Intergraph, Infotech Enterprises Limited (now Cyient), CSC, CapGemini, iGate, Bank of America, Redpine Signals, etc.
